Strive4 Academy Trust

Striving for excellence...

Testimonials

'The Trust is growth-oriented, very human, heartfelt; students commented on how they felt safe. I feel the schools had a very similar vibe; its wonderful how focused and synergized the Strive 4 trust has become in just 2 years.'

PhD Tutor - University of North Carolina

' I found everyone in the Trust, from the Office through to the Senior Leadership team so accommodating.  Throughout the morning I engaged with many of your pupils, I was not left disappointed. The pupils are obviously very proud of their school and articulated their learning journey with clarity and passion. I was inspired by the discussions that took place regarding the positive work that is currently been undertaken at your Trust and to this end I have been looking at how to develop our school in light of the visit. Thank you once again for your hospitality, honesty and insight into Leadership.'

'I wanted to write to thank you once again for giving me the opportunity to visit Ray Lodge Primary School today. I found the whole experience immensely rewarding and wonderful CPD. Likewise, I found Amanda's leadership style both visionary and 'outward facing' within her community. Moreover, it was truly informative to hear her talk so candidly and reflectively about her school's journey to outstanding.'

'I have been working for Strive4 before it even existed! It’s been an exciting journey that has allowed and actively encouraged me to progress quickly and really excel in my career. Working across the Strive4 schools has given me fantastic teaching experiences, CPD opportunities and inspirational mentors who are very supportive. My strengths have been recognised before I even knew I had them.

One aspect I love about this Academy Trust is that the children are at the very heart of it – they are the beginning and the end of everything that we do. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of their everyday learning experiences and the Trust’s ethos of

really getting to know the children and forming strong relationships with them as individuals sits alongside my own.

There is great team spirit across the Trust and watching my colleagues grow into this profession has brought me great satisfaction. We are constantly striving for excellence and with that journey comes many a challenge but I have complete trust that this is the right place for me and for any aspiring professionals.' (J Sharkey - Director of Learning - FGPS)

'We foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, drive and bravery as our core values in both our staff and our pupils. The Trust is a thriving and nurturing environment for everyone in our community. It has been a place of growth and a centre of support for me'. (NQT - RLPS)

'We have a great school community we all work together striving to make every day matter for our children. We want them to enjoy their school life and endeavour to give them experiences, challenges and memories to take them through their lives. Our children here are friendly, happy and curious, it’s great to see them grow in confidence.

My father always said “learn something new every day”.

We never stop learning. Not just our children here at school but us, learning something new every day, inspires us to work harder and it is a great joy seeing our friendly, happy and curious children grow in confidence and aspiration.' (Cecelia Irons - SBM)

'Having worked at Farnham Green for the last three years, I have had the pleasure of being able to witness the changes that have taken place and to be a part the journey that Farnham Green continues to go on as part of Strive4 Academy Trust. We all keep children at the heart of all that we do: from the first quality teaching, to the redesigning of the lunch hall to create a more ideal dining experience, to the Members of Parliament who are elected by the children, as well as the continual enrichment opportunities that are available to all alike. Children are encouraged to do their best and to demonstrate a ‘growth mind-set’ when approaching all tasks. They are also encouraged to adopt the core values that are embedded across the school so that they can become the very best version of themselves. This is said to be true of not just the children but also staff. Staff are encouraged to refine their skills and practice; to embark on CPD opportunities that have impact and to always strive for excellence. The school are supportive of those that choose to embark on continued learning such as, Masters or Postgraduate degrees, particularly where it supports their role within the classroom. Farnham Green is inclusive and is a great place for those that have a positive work ethic, a passion for teaching and are committed to bringing about a change to the lives of children and the community in which they work. (S Butler - Middle Leader - FGPS)

'Ray Lodge Primary School is unwavering in its wish for everyone to succeed and reach their full potential. Each individual is championed to be the best they can be and as such, under the Trust, our school is a school where warmth, hope and happiness is felt and fostered. Both adults and children thrive and I am tremendously proud to be part of its ever progressing trajectory.'
